Taking on new patients

He completed his medical degree at Flinders University in 2010 after graduating at the top of his cohort. After formative years at Flinders Medical Centre and the Royal Adelaide Hospital he moved to South Australia’s Mid North (Jamestown, Peterborough, Orroroo) where he trained and then worked for 9 years as a rural GP.

During that time he was exposed to a wide variety of chronic and emergency conditions in the GP clinic, local hospital and nursing homes. He gained additional emergency medicine and ultrasound training allowing him to offer his skills to the local ambulance service.

He has also undertaken additional training in adult internal medicine which has allowed him to work as a consultant rural generalist on the inpatient ward at Mt Barker Hospital for the last two years.

He enjoys all areas of general practice but particularly enjoys chronic disease management, paediatrics, mental health, skin cancer surgery and emergency presentations. He also trained originally as a physiotherapist so enjoys sports medicine and can offer ultrasound-guided injections.

He is also a Senior Medical Educator with the RACGP and teaches GP registrars across rural South Australia.

He is married to a GP (Hayley) and has three children. He is a keen runner, loves coffee and walking his golden retriever, Maggie, on our local beaches.
